PROBLEM: Jodi lost her hair 24 years ago to a rare form
of Alopecia that affects less than 200,000 people in the USA.
Jodi was rendered completely hairless at the age of 20, with
no hair on her entire body. Jodi was in an abusive relationship
and felt a negative self image.
SOLUTION: Jodi started hitting the media sharing her personal
story and found that it not only helped others, but helped herself
by opening up. Jodi continued her education to become a Master's
level Psychologist.
PROBLEM: While working on her PhD Jodi was faced with a divorce
and the fact of being a single mom, raising a half Chinese daughter in
an all-white community. Jodi wasn't like the other children's Mommy's
who had hair, she was BALD and her daughter had questions.
SOLUTION: Jodi adopted two BALD CATS (GOD has a sense of humor)
and wrote two Award Winning children's books. BELLA AND GIZMO'S
ADVENTURES and BELLA GETS A NEW SWEATER. The books help
parents and children learn about accepting ourselves and others for who
we are on the inside out.
PROBLEM: Sweat would roll into her eyes (having no eyelashes
or eyebrows) and make her makeup run and false eyelashes fall off.
Jodi was wearing pantiliners (Yes, feminine hygiene products) and
read about our military men and women doing the same thing and
wanted to offer a dignified solution to their problem) There were NO
products on the market to help with this universal problem.
SOLUTION: Jodi invented HEADLINE IT! a one-of-a-kind disposable
liner made to fit under any wigs, hats, helmets and headwear items.
It STOPS sweat from rolling into her eyes. Jodi became a TOP FINALIST
on ABC'S AMERICAN INVENTOR TV SHOW and then did a feature story
on LIFETIME TV'S HEALTH CORNER, FORBES, ENTREPRENEUR and
countless newspapers and magazines all over the world.
PROBLEM: Being a reality TV show, and splashed all over the news
and media, Jodi was being inundated with people wanting to know how
she invented her product, wrote her books and all about what it was like
to work with SIMON COWELL on a reality TV show. Jodi didn't have
enough time in the day to answer all the wonderful emails.
